Brisbane City is the Capital of the state of QLD. It is a city of approximately 3 million people (enough to create traffic chaos during peak hours). the city centre is a fairly dynamic place during business hours, but a lot quieter on the weekends.

Brisbane is known as the "River City" , the Brisbane River meanders through the city and suburbs and its flooding has caused plenty of heat ache over its history.

The photo on the right is of the story bridge, it was taken on a rainy day heading south.

I knew there was a storm heading our way, so I headed into the city with a view of capturing a few dramatic images. when i got there the rain started really pelting down. It was difficult to take this and make sure my camera did not get soaked. you can see the gutters on the other side of the road are filling up, this is typical of the storms that Brisbane gets.

This photo was about gradation of light filtering through the columns of one of the old sandstone city buildings.

Kangaroo Point Cliffs is on the southern side of the river directly across from the city. It is full of activity most of the time, BBQ's exercise, Cafe's Cliff Climbing etc etc etc. It is a great place to take photos of the changing city skyline and also a great place to capture images of the people out and about enjoying our great city.

This photo was taken in the evening with the sun having on down. I thought the grass would make a nice foreground with the city as a blurred background.
